Family Counseling Center provides a wide array of community mental health services for individuals and families with single episodes or mild to severe and persistent mental illnesses. Comprehensive treatment is offered based on the diagnostic criteria of the individual. Our psychiatric program are certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) – Division of Comprehensive Psychiatric Services
Outpatient mental health services include individual, family, and child therapy, psychiatrist services, crisis intervention, employee assistance programs, and more.
Community Psychosocial Rehabilitation programs offer day treatment, psychiatrist services, community support and targeted case management services. Day treatment is composed of psychosocial groups and activities that focus on helping clients maximize independent living skills as well as function as part of the community.
Family Counseling Center fully supports and encourages active participation in self-help and peer support groups such as Procovery.
The First Step inpatient units at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center are programs that provide treatment for individuals who are medically unstable. Separate units for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients provide the intensive treatment necessary to stabilize patients before transfer to outpatient treatment programs.
There are no restrictions with regard to sex, race, religion, color, disability, or ability to pay. Family Counseling Center accepts a wide variety of funding for services such as private pay, insurance, Missouri Medicaid, Medicare, Drug Courts, and others. DMH funded service fees are determined by the state standard means test.
